Chewy Dahlia Tuber

Chewy is popular for it's unique peach and purple- toned blooms. It is popular for cut gardens due to it's prolific blooming and versatile coloring. 

Appearance: It produces 3-inch, formal decorative blooms in colors described as orange/peachy with hints of purple or lavender toward the center, giving an overall bronze or caramel tone.

Plant Details: The plant typically grows to about 3.5 feet in height. It is a strong, reliable producer that benefits from being "pinched" (pruned) to encourage a bushier plant with more blooms and stronger stems.

Growing: Like most dahlias, it thrives in full sun and well-drained soil and the tubers must be dug up and stored indoors in cold climates over winter to prevent freezing
